Since we had a small break in the weather from being super hot to a nice warm day without rain, we decided to do some work around the boat. We needed a non rainy day without the searing heat of summer to pull out the ac unit and do some paining. For that to happen it needed to be done ASAP and that day was today. We started by taking out the ac unit and painting the wooden boards that get beat up by the elements of the outside as well as the climate controlled inside. Since water drips over them and they were raw wood we painted them white so they are fully protected now. They have multiple layers of outdoor paint to protect them.
Also my favorite part that I have. Even wanting to undertake for months now, was the walls inside the boat. After an all day event, the smells are so pungent from the bilge paint, but very much worth the upgrade. Now instead of our dingy cream blemished scarred aged walls, now thy are clean white and beautiful!
