Tonight we celebrate! Today marks a few things for us. Here is our list of why today is our day…
1. Our final day of cruising. As much as we love cruising, we have been sailing the waters since October and it is time to stop for more than three months. The summer heat is breathing down our necks and we know it is going to be here soon. We are anchored outside St Augustine now which was our last leg of the trip. And no last night (possibly) could go without some sort of drama. Weather the nasty mud that. Pasted our anchor chain this morning or the 30mph winds that graced us all day today.
2. We celebrate us being on the dock in the next day or two. When we leave this spot we are currently anchored in we move to our home for the summer through to October. We are sad as we love being on the hook but also are excited that don’t have to dinghy to land when we want to stretch our legs or have to go somewhere.
3. This is the top reason we are celebrating… We officially have reached 1,000 miles of cruising on our chart plotter! Now, we never set it while we were still in Hilton Head, so we have clocked more than 1,000 but it did start when we left home and so it is official!
So have a drink with us and celebrate!

I have enjoyed every day of your journey — I hope that each day on land will be filled with new adventures and prosperity – and look forward to what new journeys are ahead. Here’s to you – and a New Chapter.
I am happy you will be able to make life a little easier for yourselves being on a dock. I am sure your dingys will enjoy a little rest. I also look forward to you being a bit closer to your family. Congrats!
Great picture of the two of you. So glad you are safe and closer to SC!!!!
