Our latest spot we have anchored, is in Palm Coast. As we headed down Fox Cut we could see what all the hype was about. This place was beautiful. Palm trees lined the aged way, beautiful housed all peaceful and calm like a little sanctuary.

Not necessarily the place for someone who likes to party hard downtown all night or turning your stereo to ear bleed level. But this was awesome. Even the smells in the air and the water looked better. The water may not have been crystal clear but the now brownish water that looked like a sewer from the Daytona water was now gone and left a soothing note. No big wakes, no crazy boaters, just you and nature.

The smells are what made us really take notice. The smell of lots of motorized vehicles from land and sea was gone and left the smell of nature. Fresh blooming trees, fresh cut grass, and our favorite the flowers blooming. Can’t figure out if it is jasmine or honey suckle but it smells so good!

Well we anchored by our friend’s house and rowed over early afternoon. It was quite amazing taking a shower with real water pressure, hot water and no flip flops! We also did laundry which was a treat in real wish and dryers. Been a long time since our sheets and clothes felt and smelled this good.

Curtis took on the roll to cook dinner for the four of us. Served fresh caught shrimp that was to die for, fresh dipping oil for bread. For dinner we had fresh green beans and fresh flounder cooked to perfection with a fresh basil cream sauce. It was like an orgy in my mouth. We sipped wine and the ever famous Nassau Royal which will put you on your ass. For a after dinner treat we had ice cream. I think it’s been since November since we had ice cream. So tasty and cold!

We sat around all evening talking about kinds of things, felt like we had known them for years and we have only known them for a week or so. It’s amazing how you meet people, they come into your lives for a certain reason and they become your great friends for a life time. We are so happy to have met David and Jill on Shibumi. Quite amazing couple.

We had so much fun, time flew by and before we knew it, it was 2:00am! We have not stayed up that late like that in a while but had such a great time.

Today we have been in no rush to get moving, supposedly there is rain coming, so for now we are staying put till mother nature makes up her mind.

I hope you had as fabulous of a Friday evening as we had.
