At Papillon’s christening party, everyone wrote a note to stick into a big wine bottle that was from the party. In the bottle I also included our script to christen Papillon, the greens that we put onto the bow, and anything else from that evening. We threw thebottle into the ocean when off shore between St. Simmons and Amelia Island. The bottle was found within the last month but unfortunately the phone message they left was deleted before I could actually listen to it and return the call.

This past trip from Lake Worth to Ft. Pierce we yet again threw another bottle out into the water. I wrote who we are, where we were going as well as how far out in the ocean we were and how deep the water was then put it into a tequila bottle (it is what all we had). A little educational thing about us. It is amazing out of all the land and places the water goes that someone winds up with it in their hands.

Well Saturday someone found our second bottle! Here is the email I received:

We received your not. It washed up on the shore of the Jupiter Island beach and was found by two girls, by the name of Ellie and Margaret ages 10 and 8. They were thrilled to get it and hope you have a great sailing trip. Please let us know if you get this. Thanks and good luck.
