Written on Saturday, February 4th:

It is never fun being woken up early the day after your birthday with a big hangover. All you want is to sleep in and be lazy while nursing that headache and dehydration that comes with drinking too much beer on a rough night on the boat.

Well that is what happened. The previous night we had very strong winds and rough seas that continued into the following day. Early that morning we heard our name being shouted to us from outside and come to find our neighbor’s dinghy had gotten loose at some point that night and thankfully landed on a nearby island across the channel. There went Curtis off to the rescue! Retrieved the dinghy and all was good, except for the hangover. Whats the cure? Mimosas!

We headed to land for a hot shower and then walked over to The Sandbar in Coconut Grove, Miami. On the weekends they have bottomless mimosas so we drank up and split their Carne Asada Benedict.

From there we headed over to the local farmer’s market that we just found out about. Located across from the CVS in the Grove, I guess we ended up arriving a bit late because the selection had a lot to be desired so next time we will have to get there earlier. We sure do miss the farmer’s markets three times a week in St. Augustine! All in all we had a good day but what day isn’t good when your in Miami!

** As always we welcome comments from you so feel free to leave us a message or feedback on our adventures.
