Yesterday we had a long hard day of work and today’s office was on the boat. No joke we worked for 19+ hours, it was very productive. We decided to stretch our legs and head to land finally.
We headed in and walked over to XYZ Grocery Store (the name shall be left out for reasons to come) for some delicious dinner, that we did not have to cook. Choice of food was an Italian Panini and some sushi salad. I am not one to complain much about service but every once in a while it is something to write home about. This time I think this has to be my worst experience visiting there.
First of all, how does a grocery store not have any limes. A staple item in any store and they don’t have limes. Even gas stations carry limes on hand for goodness sake! Ok, ok so no limes, I’ll get over it and find someone else to splash into my water for some fresh taste.
Second, I think they have hired the slowest ladies behind the food counter. It took over 20 minutes to get a sandwich heated up! It is quite ridiculous. It isn’t the first time either. It’s like that every time we go there. Poor service for the $8/hour employees that obviously do not have any pride in their work. XYZ usually has a very up-scale appeal as a health food/grocery store and has a great brand image. If this was my first time visiting them I would feel the place isn’t nice at all. I lucky have been to others that have been wonderful. Brand quality is always something we strive for with our company as well as a big recommendation for all our clients.
But on the brighter side of things, I have found something new I like. Curtis, ever since I have known him, is a foodie. Loves good food and has made it a goal to help me appreciate other things that I may not have liked before. Now one of our favorites to get at the store is what I call seafood salad, or better known as octopus. Ok, never thought I would ever say it was good, but it is! So here is to a new first for me, as I am not a big calamari fan, to like something of this sort.
Have you had any new food experiences lately?

You like octopus?? I remember a time where you refused to taste it. I’m proud of you.
