It is becoming a very big realization of what we need to do to prepare for a big storm. Our, lets just call it, practice run that mother nature is giving us. RUN!!! Well, you can’t run. You can’t even hide! So now comes a rush to get as much done as possible before Friday when we must leave the dock for the first time on Papillon and head for the May River or for the Savannah River and wait the storm out.

We have installed the navigation center and our galley this past weekend, new tri color light installed by Matt on Saturday along with finally taking off the old control panel and finish the hook up on the new one. Now, installing the nav. center nearly ended our whole sailing exhibition because of frustration, tiredness and stress but it has passed and finally made it into the snug fit it now calls home.

Tonight (yes it is 9:00pm) and Curtis installed the counter tops in the galley (kitchen) so that is a huge thing off our list, but the ice box still needs to be finished.

Our vinyl with the name is now cut and about ready to go on the back of the boat, and invitations are printed for our Christening party next month and will be going out soon.

Keep sailing the seas and lets hope that Irene is good to us this time…
